This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Admittedly, five criminal cases are pending against the petitioner for an offence under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act for smuggling PDS rice. Recently, the petitioner came out on bail and there was a condition that the petitioner should report before the respondent police daily. According to the petitioner, he is appearing daily. But, under the guise of conducting investigation, the third respondent is harassing him.

4. Considering the fact that already five criminal cases are pending against the petitioner and now, he is also complying with the condition, the third respondent is directed to proceed with https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the investigation in a proper manner and not to harass the petitioner under the guise of conducting investigation.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is closed with the above direction.
