ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the first and second respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members so as to ensure to live peacefully in his house and to appear before the Sub Court,Kuzhithurai on 22.08.2022 and the subsequent hearing by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 29.07.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the fourth accused in S.C.No.65 of 2006 on the file of the Sub Court, Kuzhithurai and the respondents 3 to 7 are the accused and threatening him, hence he has filed the above petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner is the fifth witness in S.C.No.65 of 2006 on the file of the Sub Court, Kuzhithurai. The respondents 3 to 7 are the accused persons and the case stands posted for trial on 29.07.2022.

4. Recording the same, the third respondent is hereby directed to provide sufficient police protection to the petitioner to enable him to give evidence before the trial Court in S.C. No.65 of 2006 and to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.07.2022 immediately. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
