O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the first and second respondents to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his property CST Hotel (P) Ltd, situated at Kodaikanal Road, Batlagundu, Dindigul District. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that because of the dispute with regard to the CST Hotel (P) Ltd., a petition in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.8529 of 2007 has been filed by one of its Director by name A.Arularasi and the same was allowed. Based on which, police protection was granted by the first respondent by order dated 05.09.2007 for 10 days. Thereafter, there was no problem. After a lapse of 14 years, the third respondent and others have assaulted the watchmen of the petitioner's company. Based on which a representation has been sent to the respondent police seeking police protection.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the representation has been received by the respondent police only through e-mail.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.15720 of 2021 4.In the light of the earlier order passed by this Court, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a direction may be issued to the first respondent herein to enquire into the matter and act upon the representation made by the petitioner. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent herein to consider the representation made by the petitioner by summoning the petitioner and as well as the private respondent herein and if found out any necessity to grant police protection, depending upon the outcome of the enquiry, the further action may be taken. This process shall be completed by the respondent police within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
