PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, directing the third respondent to file a final report in Crime No. 1747 of 2020 on the file of the third respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed by the defacto complainant in Crime No.1747 of 2020, which is registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 341, 294(b), 427 and 506 (i) of I.P.C., seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to expedite the investigation and file the charge sheet.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that even after very close to three years, the respondent Police are not able to complete the investigation in routine crimes alleged to have been committed by the petitioner / accused in the said case.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) after getting instructions from the respondent Police reported that the respondent Police have already examined four witnesses and the rest of the investigation will be completed as quickly as possible and filed the charge sheet.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side and considering the representation of the petitioner and finally, on perusal of 2/4

the records, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.1747 of 2020 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
