PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, directing the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members, without following the due process of law based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2023 on the file of the first respondent.

O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner without following due process of law.
2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner and others are running the Vaiduriam Sports and Cultural Club registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 on 24.04.2017. According to the petitioner, there are ten persons in the Society and they have been playing carrom and chess in the said Club, but, Police unnecessarily have come to the premises of the said Club and harassed and threatened the petitioner that they would foist a false case against him.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on the other hand, submits that, the petitioner's club is involving in illegal activities like gambling etc and thereby, the respondent Police have warned him.
4. Considering the circumstances, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to follow the 2/4
procedures as contemplated under law, if any action is taken against the petitioner's Club.
