Mr.P.Athimoolapandian, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he purchased the property situated at Door Nos.10A 2, 10A3, Nagercoil Municipality and after obtaining plan approval from the municipality, he constructed ground floor and first floor and he has also paid taxes till 20142015. Thereafter, he constructed 2nd and 3rd floors. While the matter stood thus, the respondent issued show-cause notice to the petitioner on 28.10.2015 for enhancement of half yearly tax and he was directed to send objection regarding revision of tax within sixty days. The petitioner has also sent objection on 09.12.2015. But no order was passed on his objection. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation on 24.03.2016. Even thereafter, there is no response from the respondent. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner , dated 24.03.2016 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
