O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aruppukkottai to proceed the case expeditiously in STC No.417 of 2017, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Aruppukottai and dispose of the case within the time framed fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, a case in Crime No.204 of 2016 was registered against the accused persons and after completion of investigation, charge sheet has been laid on 04.02.2016 and the same was taken on file in STC No.417 of 2017, by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aruppukottai on 13.03.2017. The grievance of the petitioner is that the Court below framed the charges on 13.03.2017 and adjourned the case by giving long dates. Since the petitioner is a businessman, the expeditious trial would give some relief to him. Hence, the learned counsel would pray for early disposal of the above case.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that totally there are 9 accused and 11 witnesses in this case and would pray six months time to dispose of the case.

Crl.O.P(MD)No.15242 of 2020 learned Additional Public Prosecutor(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aruppukottai is directed to expedite the trial and dispose of the case in STC No.417 of 2017, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
