W.P.(MD)No.19045 of 2020 passport. The grievance of the petitioner is that the application submitted by him was not processed citing pendency of an FIR registered against him. It is well settled that pendency of FIR is not a ground for denial of issuance of passport. Therefore, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to process the petition mentioned application and issue passport to the petitioner, if it is otherwise in order. In other words, pendency of FIR will not be put against the petitioner. The entire process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3.The writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
