ORDER
The petitioner, who is the defacto complainant in Cr.No.17 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent Police, has filed this petition for transfer of investigation.
2.The main contention of the petitioner is that though a direction of custodial interrogation has been ordered in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.6315 of 2025, the respondent Police has not taken any steps to arrest A1. The petitioner apprehends that the respondent Police is favouring the accused and therefore, he filed the present petition seeking transfer of investigation from the file of the second respondent to the file of the third respondent.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submits that since it is matrimonial dispute, the respondent Police has referred the matter to the Social Welfare Officer to find out possibilities for amicable settlement.

4.This Court has considered the submissions made on either side. 5.It is only a case of matrimonial dispute and therefore, this Court cannot find fault with the respondent Police in not securing the accused. This Court is also unable to understand the manner in which the respondent Police has referred the complaint to the Social Welfare Officer, after registering FIR on 19.03.2025. The petitioner who is the victim in Cr.No.17 of 2025 has approached this Court that the investigation has not been conducted properly. Therefore, this Court directs the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manapparai Sub Division, Trichy to monitor the investigation in Cr.No.17 of 2025. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of. 09.07.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes gns 3/5
