ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 296(b), 108 BNS r/w Section 4B(2) of the Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act in Cr.No.170 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail. 1/3

2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant's daughter namely Rajeswari and A4 are husband and wife. The said Rajeswari had extra marital affair with the first petitioner. The second petitioner is the wife of the first petitioner. The third petitioner is the mother of the first petitioner. Since the accused persons harassed the daughter of the defacto complainant, she attempted suicide by eating rat paste and she died. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocents and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. 4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) for the respondent submits that the investigation is yet to be completed.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
