Respondents PRAYER : This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay Rs.3,00,000/- as loan from the petitioner's provident fund account No.TN/17712/5541 with regard to the house construction expenses and his children education expenses based on the petitioner representation dated 29.10.2020 within a time fixed by the Court.

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- as loan from the petitioner's provident fund account No.TN/17712/5541 with regard to house construction expenses and his children education expenses, based on his representation dated 29.10.2020, within a time frame. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner applied Provident Fund Loan for a sum of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.19216 of 2020 Rs.3,00,000/- on 12.10.2020 from his provident fund account, for the purpose of his children's education expenses and house construction expenses. In this regard, the petitioner has also made a representation on 25.10.2020 to the respondents. However, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition for appropriate directions. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents would fairly submit that representation of the petitioner will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5. On perusal of the records, it appears that the petitioner is having a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- in his GPF account. This Court does not see any impediment for the respondents to grant a loan for a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- out of the said Provident Fund Account. Hence, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.10.2020 and to pay the eligible amount, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
