This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to modify the conditions imposed against the petitioner by the learned Special Court under TNPID Act cases, Madurai in Crl.M.P.No.146 of 2026 dated 22.04.2026, that (i) The petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- as security in the case account; and (ii) The petitioner should furnish the immovable property details, bank details and Annual Returns for the 3 financial years since 2021-2022.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted bail by the learned Special Court under the TNPID Act Cases, Madurai. The aforesaid condition imposed on the petitioner is an onerous condition. Further, the petitioner is suffering from Parkinson's disease and is bedridden; hence, she could not comply with the said condition.

On a perusal of the order, it is seen that the learned Judge, after considering the merits of the case and the fact that the amount involved in the alleged cheating is Rs.4.74 crores and that the victims number 41, granted bail subject to certain conditions. In such circumstances, this Court is of the view that the condition directing the petitioner to deposit the said amount is proper and cannot be termed as onerous.

5. Hence, this Court is not inclined to modify the condition imposed on the petitioner by the learned Special Court under TNPID Act cases, Madurai in Crl.M.P.No.146 of 2026 dated 22.04.2026.

6. At this juncture, Mr.R.Mathiyalagan submits that time period granted by the Trial Court is expired and prays to extend the time.

7. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. However, the time granted to comply with the said condition is hereby extended by a further period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The other conditions imposed by the learned Special Court under TNPID Act cases, Madurai in Crl.M.P.No.146 of 2026 dated 22.04.2026, shall remain unaltered.
