The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issue of a writ of mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider and pass orders forthwith on the petitioner's application dated 05.11.2015 for recognising the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
status of the petitioner as a Christian Religious Minority Educational Agency for running the proposed college namely, Royal College of Arts and Science, Thailapuram, Nazareth, Pidanarei Village, Thoothukudi District.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Mr.T.R.Janarthanam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3.
3.According to the petitioner, he has submitted an application dated 05.11.2015 to the first respondent seeking declaration of its minority status as a Christian religious minority educational agency for running the proposed college namely, Royal College of Arts and Science, Thailapuram, Nazareth, Pidanarei Village, Thoothukudi District. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has come up with the above writ petition. 4.Considering the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the first respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 05.11.2015 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
