PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct the demonstration on 25.08.2022 at about 10.00 a.m to 11.00 am at AKG Thidal, Cumbum Town, Theni District with adequate Police Protection by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 16.08.2022. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct the demonstration on 25.08.2022 at about 10.00 a.m to 11.00 am at AKG Thidal, Cumbum Town, Theni District with adequate Police Protection by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 16.08.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that they are ready to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2022.

4. In view of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 16.08.2022 and pass 2/5

orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to give an undertaking before the respondent police that he will not attack any persons and not involve in any illegal activities in future.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
