PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider representation which was given by the petitioner on 28.08.2025 and take appropriate action to remove the encroachment made by the respondents 5 to 9 in 5th cross street, Maharaja Nagar, Teachers Colony, Viraganur, Madurai and wider the road to 20 feet and resolve the problem. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The prayer in this writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider representation which was given by the petitioner on 28.08.2025 and take appropriate action to remove the encroachment made by the respondents 5 to 9 in 5th cross street, Maharaja Nagar, Teachers Colony, Viraganur, Madurai and wider the road to 20 feet and resolve the problem.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the authorities will conduct survey in the place in question and if there is any encroachment therein, after hearing both sides, appropriate action will be taken for removal of the same.

3. In such a view of the matter, let the authorities issue notice to the petitioner and the private respondents, make survey of the place in question in their presence. If the survey/inspection reveals any encroachment, the authorities shall take steps to remove the same by due process of law after giving opportunity to both sides including the private respondents. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
