ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and to file a charge sheet in Crime No.286 of 2019.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that on a complaint given by the petitioner police have registered a case in Crime No.286 of 2019 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 323 and 324 and 506(ii) of IPC. According to the petitioner though FIR has been registered, there is no substantial progress in the investigation.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that as per the CD file, after police have examined about 5 witnesses as on 10.11.2019, subsequently there is no progress in the investigation.

4. It is surprising to note that for a period of four years, no witness has been examined and there is no progress in the investigation. Considering the circumstances, the respondent police are directed to 2/4

complete the investigation and file a charge sheet within a period of four weeks from the date of the order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
