Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to rectify the mistake happened during UDR scheme and issue joint patta to them including the legal heirs of the petitioner's deceased father Veeramuthu with existing patta of patta No.890, obtained by the respondents 4 to 8 from the third respondent for their ancestral properties comprised in S.No.115/4 with an extent of 0-16.00 Ares and 115/5 with an extent of 0-41.50 Ares situated at Perungudi Revenue Village, Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District.

ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to rectify the error that had occurred in UDR scheme by non inclusion of legal heirs of the petitioner's father Veeramuthu, pertains to patta No.890 in Survey Nos.115/4 and 115/5 at Perungudi Revenue village, Thiruparankundram Taluk, Madurai District.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.R.Murugappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondents, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.
3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4.According to the petitioner, the subject property belongs to his father Veeramuthu and his brother Balakrishnan under partition deed, dated 14.05.1964. However, during UDR up-gradation only the names of legal heirs of Balakrishnan has been included in the revenue records and the names of the legal heirs of Veeramuthu are not found. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 11.06.2025, seeking inclusion of legal heirs of Veeramuthu in the patta for the subject property in patta No.890. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with the law.
6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.06.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and private respondents 4 to 8.
7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
