ORDER

This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to initiate action against the persons, who have been threatening the petitioner, as per the complaint in CSR.No.214 of 2023 dated 11.03.2023. 2.It is submitted by the learned counsel that the petitioner is a social activist and whenever the officials have committed any error, he exposes the same and accordingly, many cases have been filed against the petitioner and he has been facing them. It is submitted that some unknown persons have been sending threatening messages to the petitioner, on which the petitioner has made a complaint to the police on 11.03.2023, however, no action has been taken. It is also submitted that subsequent to the giving of the complaint, when such threatens were continued, he has brought to the notice of the same to the respondent No.1 police and the same was registered as CSR.No.214 of 2023. In spite of that, the respondent No.2 police, who have been dealing with cyber crime cases, have not taken any action. Therefore, sought for suitable directions. 2/5

3.It is submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) that the petitioner is in the habit of making a false complaints against the officials and about 8 cases are pending against him. Insofar as the representation of the petitioner is concerned, the respondent No.2 police have gone through the messages and they found that there is an incriminating material against the accused persons and the messages were referred to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for opinion, who has ultimately opined that a case can be registered against the persons, who have allegedly threatened the petitioner. It is also submitted that if the petitioner approaches the respondent No.3 police, the police are ready to initiate appropriate action.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner on the other hand submitted that the petitioner is ready to approach the respondent No.3 police for initiating the action.

5.Considering the circumstances, this Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to approach the respondent No.3 police, on which the respondent No.3 3/5
