According to the petitioner, on a complaint given by the petitioner, the Police have registered a case in Crime No.28 of 2022 for the offence under Sections 417, 294(b), 498A, 506(ii) of IPC and 4 of TNPHW Act on 21.09.2022, however, the final report has not been filed so far. Hence, a direction is sought for to the respondent Police to complete the investigation and file the final report within a time frame fixed by this Court.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondent submits that the investigation is in progress and within a short time, the respondent Police will file the charge sheet.
4. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents Police, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
