PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner and village people to continue renovation and construction work for the Muneeshwarar Temple and Kaliamman Temple, situated at Naranamangalam Village, Ramanathapuram.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the village people to continue renovation and construction work of Muneeshwarar Temple and Kaliamman Temple, situated at Naranamangalam Village, Ramanathapuram.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that based upon the representation made by one Elangovan, enquiry was undertaken in CP.No.107 of 2021, wherein, this petitioner has been arrayed as the second respondent. During the course of enquiry, this petitioner also appeared before the enquiry officer and gave statement to the effect that in respect of the dispute over the Management of the village temple, they will resolve the dispute before the Revenue Divisonal Officer, Ramanathapuram. Similarly, the complainant has also given a statement to the same effect. Based upon the above undertaking given by both parties, it was closed on 10.07.2021. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. Since the issue has been closed by advising the parties to sort out their dispute before the Revenue Divisonal Officer, Ramanathapuram, granting police protection for the purpose of renovation at the instance of the petitioner may not be proper. It is also seen that by suppressing the above fact, this petition came to be filed. If any trouble arises in future, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned authority including this Court to get redress his grievance.
4.With the above said liberty and direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
