This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.721 of 2020 on the file of the first respondent police.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today,the learned Additional Public Prosecutor represented that the Government has taken a policy decision not to pursue the cases registered in the wake of breach of lock down restrictions and has also passed a G.O. to withdraw the cases registered during Covid-19 pandemic situation, thereby nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. 3.In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
