ORDER

The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 28.09.2022 to the second respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, Madurai, for grant of patta for the land in Survey No.255/4 at Alagapuri Village, Madurai East Taluk. On receipt of the said representation, the second respondent, by his proceedings dated 17.10.2022, directed the third respondent/the Tahsildar, Madurai East Taluk, to conduct an enquiry. Since there was no action, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2. Ms.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that in the 'A' Register, the land in Survey No.255/4 stands in the name of one Mukkan 2/4

Ambalam, however, it is a water body.

3. The petitioner claims that certain corrections have been made during UDR survey.

4. If the petitioner is having any grievance that prior to UDR Survey, the land stands in his name, he can redress his grievance before the second respondent/the District Revenue Officer, Melur, Madurai.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to redress his grievance before the second respondent/the District Revenue Officer, Melur, Madurai. No costs. 19.07.2023 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
