The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issue of a writ of mandamus, to direct the second respondent to grant lease for quarrying stone in survey No.399/2A(P-I) Vanjinagaram https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District as per the notification of the second respondent, dated 11.05.2015 in favour of petitioner's Society. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.
3.According to the petitioner, the quarry in survey No.399/2A(PI) Vanjinagaram Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District was notified on 11.05.2015 to be granted to the SGSY groups. However, the second respondent has included the said quarry under general category. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted an application dated 11.05.2015 seeking for the above said relief which is still pending. 4.Considering the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 11.05.2015 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P(MD)No.6345 of 2016 is closed.
