O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents, particularly, the second respondent, to issue patta in the petitioner's name in S.No.339/6 with an extent of 70 cents situated at Avathandai Group, Kokkadi Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2.The petitioner purchased the said property by way of a registered sale deed in Doc.No.2032/1977, dated 02.09.1977, for which, the petitioner sought patta. A representation had been given by the petitioner in this regard to the District Collector/the first respondent.

3.Mr.D.Gandhiraj, learned Special Government Pleaders states that a communication was issued by the first respondent to the Tahsildar, Kadaladi, wherein, a direction was issued to the Tahsildar, Kadaladi, to consider the representation of the petitioner.

4.It would only be appropriate that the petitioner files separate application seeking patta before the Tahsildar, Kadaladi Taluk, and also pays necessary fees for the same. On receipt of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.18480 of 2021 such application from the petitioner, the Tahsildar, Kadaladi Taluk, is under obligation to examine the document of the petitioner, to make necessary enquiry, to issue notice to any other person, who is interested and thereafter, comply with the request made by the petitioner. At any rate, the entire process shall be completed within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the said observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
