Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 5 to permit me to continue my Statutory Work as 1) Senior most Associate Professor in the State of Tamil Nadu in Malayalam, including Guideship to Research Scholars, 2) conducting Ph.D. Viva-Voce Examinations in Malayalam for selection and certification of Ph.D. Teachers who can register Ph.D. Students/Research Scholars, 3) evaluation of Ph.D.
thesis of both Internal and External Universities, 4) Subject Expert Member in Malayalam for selection of Assistant Professors, 5) Subject Expert Member in career advancement scheme (CAS) to certify whether incumbent Assistant Professor to be promoted to the next level and 6) to do statutory/substantive post work in the capacity and Rank as Major in NCC for the enrolment of students for the academic year 2025 - 2026 completed before July 31st amidst other academic activities in the Department of Malayalam and Research, at Room bearing No.A25, located in S.T.Hindu College premises, Nagercoil in pursuance to order passed in W.A(MD) No.228 of 2025 dated 03.02.

When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that the prayer sought in this writ petition has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. However, the learned counsel further submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to hand over any belongings of the petitioner that are currently in the custody of the respondents.
