ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 11.06.2019 and 22.07.2019 submitted to the respondents 1 and 2, seeking reference of the petitioner's claim for enhancement of compensation to the competent Civil Court at Ramanathapuram.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that a copy of the award has not been served on the petitioner. Therefore, the respondents may be directed to furnish a copy of the award within a period of one month, if the same has not already been served. With regard to the issue of referring the matter to the competent authority, appropriate directions may also be issued.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the State, on behalf of the respondents, submitted that the Act prescribes a limitation period for referring the matter to the competent authority. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's 2/4

representations dated 11.06.2019 and 22.07.2019 seeking reference of the award to the competent Court and to pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
