This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2018, 07.09.2020 and 22.10.2020 in connection with the annual reports submitted by them for the Financial Years 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20.
2. Mr.K.Sathiya Singh, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that for the aforementioned 1/3
years, the petitioner, as a registered Society, had submitted their audit reports, for acceptance of the same by the second respondent. It is also their case that they have submitted representations on 23.05.2018, 07.09.2020 and 22.10.2020, reminding the second respondent for acceptance of their audit reports. However, according to the petitioner, despite those representations, till date, the audit reports submitted by the petitioner have not been accepted by the second respondent. According to them, the audit reports will have to be accepted by the second respondent to enable the petitioner to disburse the salary to the staff and also enable the petitioner to submit a report before the District Educational Officer. In such circumstances, this writ petition has been filed.
4. Heard Mr.S.Lakshmanasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Sathiya Singh, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.
5. On instructions, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that the second respondent is prepared to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.
6. The relief sought for in this writ petition is an innocuous relief. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representations dated 23.05.2018, 07.09.2020 and 22.10.2020 are considered by the second respondent on merits and in accordance with law. The petitioner has submitted their annual reports to the second respondent for his acceptance. Admittedly, the same has not been accepted till date. According to the petitioner, the said audit reports will have to be accepted to enable the petitioner to disburse the salary to their staff.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 23.05.2018, 07.09.2020 and 22.10.2020 seeking for acceptance of their annual reports for the financial years 2016-17, 2017-18, 201819 and 2019-20 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
