For Respondent : Mr.Kr.Bharathi Kannan, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 30 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as A2, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) and 20 (b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act, 1985, in Crime No.30 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that A1 was found in possession of 1.2 kgs of Ganja and on the confession of A1, the petitioner has been arrayed as A2. Hence, the crime has been registered.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. CRL OP(MD). No.15300 of 2020 implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that A1 was found in possession of 1.2 kgs of Ganja and on the confession of A1, the petitioner has been arrayed as A2. Hence, he prayed to dismiss this petition. 6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the quantity of Ganja, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
