ORDER
This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation in the case in Crime No.6 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police and to file a final report within a stipulated period.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there was a dispute between the petitioner's family and one Velayutham and his family members who are residing in the adjacent house. While so, the said Velayutham and their family members illegally trespassed in the petitioner's house with deadly weapons and assaulted the petitioner and his wife brutally and caused blood injuries to them. Based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.6 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 294(b) and 324 I.P.C and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. The grievance of the petitioner is that so far, the respondent police has not filed final report. Hence, the present petition.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that investigation is almost completed and the final report will be filed within a period of two months.
