PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to implement the order passed by the 1st respondent vide Na.Ka.No.1954/2025/A2 dated 15.04.2025 and register the petitioner's name in the petitioner's birth certificate and in the 1967 year birth register. ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to implement the order passed by the 1st respondent vide Na.Ka.No.1954/2025/A2 dated 15.04.2025 and register the petitioner's name in the petitioner's birth certificate and in the 1967 year birth register.

2.The contention of the petitioner is that the birth certificate was issued without incorporating the name and year. Now, the petitioner seeks to incorporate the name as well as year.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the Tahsildar has passed an order in favour of the petitioner directing the Village Administrative Officer to act accordingly as per his proceedings. Since the Village Administrative Officer, who is the second respondent has not acted, the present writ petition is filed.

4.Therefore, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to act as per the proceedings of the 1st respondent and pass appropriate orders within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

5.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
