O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to disburse the petitioner's difference gratuity amount of Rs.70,539/- together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the basis of petitioner representation dated 28.09.2019 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2.According to the petitioner, he was retired from service on 31.07.2018. After his retirement, the respondent Corporation disbursed his gratuity amount of Rs.7,93,055/- instead of Rs.8,63,594/-. In this regard, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 28.09.2019 to disburse his difference in gratuity amount of Rs.70,539/- with interest. However, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, without any other options, the petitioner approached this Court by way of this writ petition for appropriate relief. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.19194 of 2020 3.Taking into consideration of the fact that there is an inordinate delay in decision making process on the part of the respondents in disposing of the representation and considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 28.09.2019 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
