This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to provide police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the petitioner has eloped with her lover, namely Ramki on 26.07.2024. Based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner's mother, a criminal case was registered by the respondent police in Crime No.297 of 2024 under woman missing. The petitioner along with her lover has appeared before the respondent police and gave the statement that the petitioner is aged about 21 years and she married the said Ramki. Therefore, the complaint of the petitioner's mother was closed by the respondent police on 31.07.2024. He further submits that the petitioner's mother was also warned not to interfere with the petitioner's marriage life.
