: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to accept the supporting documents pertaining to the lands of Pidari Ayyanar and Amman Temple in K.Sathanur Village, Trichy District, situated in Old S.No.135/3 (New Town S.No.14/3, Block 2, Ward A1) and land in Old S.C.No.236/1C (new S.No.6/11B, Block 4, Ward A8) to the extent of 4.67 acres and 1.33 acres from the petitioner and other villagers and conclude the proceedings in Na.Ka.(A7)-1897-2019 and Na.Ka.(A7)-1896-2019, within a stipulated time limit. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) This writ petition has got a checkered history. Action has been in pursuant to the orders passed by this Court on the earlier occasion. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that despite https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.19796 of 2020 issuance of notice by the second respondent in and by the proceedings dated 08.08.2019, the same is yet to be concluded though more than a year has lapsed.

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that in such view of the matter, it would suffice if the enquiry is directed to be concluded by the second respondent within a reasonable time frame.

3. Considering the above submission, we direct the second respondent to conclude the enquiry initiated in and by the proceedings dated 08.08.2019, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
