(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the second respondent to enquire into the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2023 and thereby taken action against the 6th and 7th respondents herein in accordance with law.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the sixth respondent was elected the President of Kamuthakudi Village Panchayat and the seventh respondent is the husband of the sixth respondent, who has illegally exercised the power of the President and committed various irregularities. The petitioner filed a complaint before the District Collector-cum-Inspector of Panchayat, Ramanathapuram District under the Panchayat Act on 24.04.2023. Since no action was initiated, the writ petition came to be instituted.

3. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to look into the complaint, nature of the allegations raised by the petitioner and conduct an enquiry by verifying the panchayat records and other transactions. If any illegality, financial loss or irregularities are identified, all appropriate actions are initiated under law.
