The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to survey the property covered by sale deed, dated 23.11.1966 in favour of the petitioner's father in respect of 12 cents of land in S.No.54/3A2 (old S.No.54/3A) in Thiruvengadam Village, Tenkasi District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 11.06.2025. 2.Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/6
3.According to the petitioner, her father purchased 12 cents of land in the above mentioned survey number and the patta for the subject property was issued for lesser extent of 8.64 cents. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an instant representation seeking rectification of extent in the revenue records and issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner's father, Muthaiya Aasari and the same has not been considered. Hence the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents would submit that even as per the 'A' Register, the extent of the property is only 0.03.50 ares and therefore, the request of the petitioner can be considered only by the District Revenue Officer, Tenkasi District.
5.In view of the same, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to forward the representation of the petitioner to the District Revenue Officer, Tenkasi District, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the said authority shall consider the representation of 3/6
the petitioner and pass final orders on its own merits, within the further period of twelve weeks, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the other legal heirs of Muthaiya Aasari. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
