Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 07.03.2016 regarding the regularization of their services in the cadre of Animal Husbandry Assistant right from the date of joining i.e., 28.03.2007, in the light of the decision taken in respect of similarly placed persons in G.O.Ms.No.49, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries (AH-6) Department, dated 20.02.2013 and in G.O.Ms.No.185, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries (AH-6) Department, dated 22.09.2015 based on the orders of this Court, which were confirmed by the Hon'ble Division Bench and the Hon'ble Supreme Court, within a stipulated time.

ORDER

Mr.G.Muthukannan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.The grievance of the petitioners, who have been working as Animal Husbandry Assistant under the respondents, is that though they were observed as Animal Husbandry Assistant in regular time scale of pay on 28.03.2007, their services have been regularised only from the date of order of regularisation i.e., 10.07.2013. According to the petitioner, the services of the similarly placed persons were regularised from the date of their joining as per G.O.Ms.No.49, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries (AH-6) Department, dated 20.02.2013 and G.O.Ms.No.

185, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries (AH-6) Department, dated 22.09.2015. Seeking extension of the said benefit, the petitioners had sent a representation on 07.03.2016. As there was no response to the same, the petitioners have come up with this writ petition. 4.Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioners, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 07.03.2016 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.49, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries (AH6) Department, dated 20.02.2013 and G.O.Ms.No.185, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries (AH-6) Department, dated 22.09.2015 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
