ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This petition has been filed for extension of time for compliance of the conditional order passed in Crl.O.P(MD).No.2797 of 2024 dated 22.02.2024.
2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Hon'ble Court has passed an order in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.2797 of 2024 dated 22.02.2024 and enlarged this petitioner on anticipatory bail with certain conditions. The order copy was only made ready on 28.02.2024. In the meantime, the petitioner was arrested in another Crime No.302 of 2024 on the file of the Palayamkottai Police Station, Tirunelveli District. Further, the petitioner was detained under TamilNadu Act 14/1982 dated 30.07.2024 . The said detention was challenged before this court in HCP(MD). No.1544 of 2024. On 02.06.2025, the said detention order was quashed by this Hon'ble Court. For the said reasons only, this petitioner is unable to execute the bond and not able to arrange sureties and produce before the concerned Court. Hence, he prayed to extend the time period, by allowing this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent has not raised any objection to allow this Criminal Miscellaneous petition.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and being satisfied with the reasons stated above, this Court is inclined to extend the time period. Accordingly, further period of two weeks granted from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
