ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to allow the petitioner's association to facilitate the Silambam events in the upcoming Zonal level, District Level and State level Silambam matches for school students for the year of 2025 to be held across all the revenue districts, in line with the order in WP(MD)No.21796 of 2024 and WP(MD)No.23441 of 2024 and based on the representation dated 21.06.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a registered Society and has been conducting Silambattam performances at various School functions and Government associated functions. It is submitted that zonal and school level competition are being held across the State. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the 2/5
respondents on 21.06.2025 requesting permission to allow the petitioner to facilitate the Silambattam in the zonal and school level competitions.
3. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered and disposed of on merits providing relevant credential of his involvement in the Silambattam within the State of Tamil Nadu.
4. Recording the same, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 21.06.2025 within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
