ORDER
The petitioner, with a grievance that the respondent police is harassing him on the complaint of the third respondent herein, has approached this Court.
2.Today(11.07.2025), when this Criminal Original Petition is taken up for admission, Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and submits that the third respondent has lodged a complaint as against this petitioner that the petitioner is having illegal affair with his wife and the same is pending enquiry in C.S.R.No.695 of 2025.
3.The offence relating to adultery has been struck down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court and therefore, there is no scope for registering any criminal case for the same. Hence, the respondent Police is not expected to keep the enquiry pending for the allegation of adultery. 2/4
4.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
