ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issue of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to return the driving licence of the petitioner bearing D.L.No.TN-55-20010001133 to him forthwith.

2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner was falsely implicated as an accused in Crime No.57 of 2016 for the accident occurred on 28.03.2016. Pursuant to the same, the driving licence of the petitioner has been seized by the respondent on 30.03.2016. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted representation dated 04.04.2016 to the respondent which is still pending. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the above writ petition. 3.Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.04.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. to mention that while considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.04.2016 the respondent shall follow the procedure contemplated in Section 206 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. No costs.
