Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action to ensure and protect the right of worship of the petitioner including to participate in the festival of Vinayagar Chathurthi to be conducted between 30.08.2022 to 02.09.2022 in Sri Sakthi Vinayagar Aalayam. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocates appearing for the official respondents.

2. The issue relates to celebration of Vinayagar Chathurthi festival. The grievance of the petitioner is that the private respondents styling themselves as 'Vaigai Danger Boys' are conducting the proposed petition mentioned event to the exclusion of the village elders. Following the same, this writ petition came to be filed. The Peace Committee Meeting was convened by the local Police. 2/4

3. The learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent states that the issue has been amicably resolved. A copy of the minutes dated 23.08.2022, has also been produced before this Court. It is needless to add that the petition mentioned event will go on with the participation of every member of the village.

4. In view of such development, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
