ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired Deputy Tashildar, seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent herein to implement his order dated 14.03.2023 and notionally promote him as Tashildar on par with his juniors.

2.The perusal of the typed set of papers indicates that a panel has been drawn by the respondent herein for the post of Tashildar for the year 2017. As per the panel, the petitioner is placed as rank No.1. However, this order has not been implemented by the respondent herein. Hence the petitioner has addressed his representation to the District Collector, Tuticorin District on 05.07.2024. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to pass order on the representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2024, in the light of his panel dated 14.03.2023 and pass order within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
