ORDER

The petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 08.05.2025 before the 2nd respondent Police and also filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent Police to take appropriate action on her complaint dated 08.05.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner has lodged this complaint as against her own brother and brother's wife and the same has been treated as petition in CSR No.153 of 2025. Since the dispute is between the family members, they have not registered a case and they are conducting the petition enquiry.

3. This Court considered the rival submissions made.

4. In the event, if it is a trivial offence between the family members, the respondent Police shall try to sort out the issue between the petitioner and the defacto complainant. The learned counsel for the petitioner can also advise his client not to precipitate the issue by insisting the respondent 2/4

Police for registeration of a case. However, the respondent police is directed to take a decision on the petitioner's representation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
