PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.110/2022 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner is facing charges under Sections 294(b), 307 and 506 (2) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, in Crime No.110 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant lodged a complaint stating that there was frequent trouble between herself and the accused person, who is the husband. Over the aforesaid occurrence, the complaint was lodged and that was also pending.

3.On 08.07.2022 at about 06.30 pm., when she was in her mother's house, the accused person came there and asked her to come along with him. When that was refused, he tried to kill her by knotting the towel and also tried to strangulate. After that, the neighbours gathered and on seeing them, the accused person fled away from that place. Later, he was arrested on 09.07.2022 and ever since he is in judicial custody.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondent would submit that the petitioner is also an accused in Crime No.61 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.15178 of 2022 of 2018, which is a murder case and apart from that, another two assault cases are also pending against him.

5.Considering the antecedents of the petitioner and also considering the fact that he tried to strangulate his wife, this Criminal Original Petition deserves to be dismissed and accordingly, dismissed.
