.. Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate steps so as to ensure safety and sanitation of the students studying in the 5th respondent school namely, Mohideeniya High School,
(2) Vasudevanallur, Tirunelveli District by complying with the renewal of recognition before admitting any students for the academic year 2016-2017.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner is aggrieved by the continuation of the fifth respondent/school which is violating all norms of education.
2. On inspection by the the District Educational Officer, the allegations were found to be substantially correct. The institution was given temporary recognition only up to 31.5.2013 and is lacking in basic facilities like toilet, drinking water and the condition of school building is stated to be quite bad. The school also remains closed periodically.
3. In view of the aforesaid having been found, we asked the learned Additional Government Pleader as to what does the District Educational Officer propose. The learned Additional Government Pleader states that necessary action will be taken and concluded within a maximum period of one month of receipt of the order. We take the submission on record and the respondent/authorities will remain bound by the said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader in the court.
