Seeking to quash the final report filed by the police before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Thoothukudi in C.C.No.1188/2017, the present Criminal Original Petition is filed.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent police would contend that C.C.No.1188/2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Thoothukudi, ended in acquittal on 21.09.2023 and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Criminal Original Petition.
