ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection for fencing the property of the petitioner in S.Nos.25/14, 25/15, 25/16, 26/1, 26/2, 26/3 situated at Pillaiyar Thottiyangulam Village, Tiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 05.06.2026.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 05.06.2026 seeking police protection for putting up fencing around the petitioner's property.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner's complaint has been received and that an enquiry is pending in the matter, which has been scheduled to be conducted on 19.06.2026.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the third respondent, notice to him is dispensed with. 2/4

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent police is directed to issue notices to both the petitioner and the third respondent under Section 64 of the BNSS, conduct an enquiry, and conclude the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Upon conclusion of the enquiry, if it is found necessary that the petitioner be provided with adequate protection, the second respondent police shall afford appropriate police protection to the petitioner, subject to payment of the requisite charges, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.139, Home (Pol-VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. 18.06.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No sm 3/4
