ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) The present Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner for a writ of mandamus seeking to direct the respondent to consider the representation dated 06.04.2024 and to grant ordinary leave for 30 days without escort to the detenu, Sree Renga Rajan, S/o.Narayanan, aged about 45 years confined at Central Prison, Palayamkottai.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.04.2024 will be considered and suitable orders will be passed as expeditiously as possible.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, without going into the merits of the matter, we direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.04.2024

and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
