Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to transfer the patta and issue separate patta to the petitioner for her house site situated in Theni Town Municipality in old Survey No.191,

new Town Survey No.2/3A1A, to an extent of 2000 square feet in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2024. For Petitioner :

ORDER

The petitioner, who had purchased an extent of 2000 sq. ft. in T.S.No.2/3A1A under a sale deed dated 09.03.2015, had made an application for transfer of patta in his favour. The application had been originally filed on 25.01.2021. However, though by letter dated 04.04.2022 the first respondent had assured that action would be taken, to date there has been no response. The petitioner's representations dated 30.03.2022 and 10.05.2024 has also not evoked the desired result. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. Considering the above request and the facts, a mandamus is issued to the third respondent to transfer the patta and issue separate

patta to the petitioner for her house site situate in the petition mentioned property within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
