With consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The case of the petitioner is that she is residing in Door No. 161B, Perumalpatti Street, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District, which stand in the name of her husband Karuppaiah. On 12.10.2010 her husband had given an application to the 2nd respondent office for Page No.2/5
providing drinking water connection to their house and also paid a sum of Rs.5100/-. In addition to that he paid supervising charges of Rs.7881/- on 16.09.2020. The 1st respondent asked them to submit necessary documents vide communication dated 17.07.2021. The petitioner and her husband also produced all the necessary documents before the 1st respondent. But no action was taken by the respondents. In the meantime, on 29.11.2021 her husband passed away. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation on 19.04.2023 to the authority for providing drinking water connection to her house. Subsequently, she sent another representation on 29.04.2024. But the said representations were not considered so far. Hence this writ petition.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.04.2024 and pass appropriate orders to provide drinking water connection to the petitioner's house within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
